Message Body | Having been employed by the colored people of said County as their attorney to collect the amt of taxes paid by them since the year 1865 for educational purposes, and as they have been informed, that the Government will extend some aid to them, in building school houses &c have requested me to write to you to know what aid the Government will give and on what conditions. |
