Message Abstract States an increase of pupils, and requests an assistant for two months, Submits the name of [[underlined]] Josephine Gloster [[/underlined]] of Phila., and says the people will pay the board of a teacher if send. Wishes books mentioned.
Message Body Sir I hasten to say that the school at Elkton increases daily) I have at present eight-five scholars fifty day thirty-five night) and feeling myself able to do justice to all) I aske your permission for an assistant for tow months, after that period the larger ones will be hired out) a teacher named Josephine Slouster No 925 Rodman St [[insertion]] Philad [[/insertion]] will availe her services providing this meets your approbation) the people are willing to support the board of an assistant Mr Vanderlip I shall be compelled to send for half dozen of Worcester, & spelling books also half dozen of Com'dgs spell an answer will Oblidge Respectivly
