Message Abstract Returns vouchers Hopes something may be done for schools which have been deserted by the Baltimore Association. States that the Asso. have withdrawn several teachers &c. &c.
Message Body Sir I return the vouches that you have sent to be signed. My verry Dear Sir I would like for you to try and do something for those Schools that have been thrown out in the cold by the Baltimore Association and have left the teachers without pay. One [[strikethrough]] man [[/strikethrough]] poor man has lost two months pay, only because he was honest and would not add one scholar to his rool. he taught two months with 29 scholars and Mr Core would not pay him one cent his scholars taught at Davis Hill Kent County. There is also the School at Galena taught by Mrs Holland she has kept the School up since April with an average of about 35 scholars. The school at the Head of Sassafras taught by Mr John H. Brown Their are also the School at Milington taught by Mrs Harriett Spriggs during the month of June or in other words since the Balto. Assoc. has closed their School. We would like you to do what you can for those Schools if no more than give them the rent that you have been paying them please let me hear from you at your earliest convenience
