Message Abstract States in answer to letter of the 26th ult. that the place would not suit her. She would like to teach in Washington or Baltimore, but not in the country, and applies for a situation if a vacancy should occur in either place.
Message Body In answer to yours of the 24th I would say that I hardly think such a place would please me. For five years I pursued the course preparatory for college as my diploma and other references testify. I have endeavored to obtain a situation, as far as I have been able, where I could teach my favorite studies and that was mainly my object in writing to Mr. Robinson. But if I taught a primary school I had rather it would be either in Baltimore or Washington as I should not like a country place. If there should be any vacancies in either place please let me know and I will endeavor to fill the place after the coming vacation. Thanking you kindly for the reconizance of any former letter I remain
