Grantor: Grantee George Stewart and Major Guy; both of Virginia / John Satchell
Abstract Indenture. That whereas the said John Satchell for the sum of 215 pounds paid by the said George Stewart and Major Guy conveyed (by deed dated 29 April 1774) the following slaves, goods and chattels: Negro lad named Joshua, boy named Stephen, girl named Lavinah; also livestock and tools. This conditional that in case the said John should pay unto the said George and Major the aforesaid sum with interest by 1 January ensuring that the aforesaid deed should be void. Now, as John Satchell, has fully complied; all the above is conveyed to him.
