Joshua Donohoe, "now of the State and County" (Worcester County, Maryland) for and consideration of 100 pounds paid by William Polland of the City of Philadelphia, sells a Negro woman named Poll. Pol "now supposed to be in the City of Philadelphia being a wench that went off with the British Army from the head of Elk".
