Abstract Mary Jones files answer [to dispute about some negroes not in inventory]; negro Margaret & her chldren are not property of Marcellus Jones; she [Margaret] was the property of Jesse Hughes, Mary's father, & he gave her to Alice Julia Jones, infant child of Mary & Marcellus Jones, in 1831 or 32; Margaret's children; Levin, aged about nine; Esther, about four; Evelina (?), about two.
