Abstract of Record Wesley James Joshua Watters, free boy of colour, 15 yo on 29 Dec 1828, son of Amy Watters, free woman of color of indigent circumsytance with whom he lives & appears to have no visible means of suport, is apprenticed to Levin W. Disharoon. To learn skill of pulling and cutting fur for the use of hatters until age 21; at end of term to receive suit of apparel worth $15.
