Message Body | I present to you the case of the Trustees of the Colored School at Roseville Queen Anns Md - they have purchased a half acre of ground upon which they wish to build a School house - the ground is deeded to Seven Colored Men for a School house - the White Citizen have been kind enough to furnish the frame for the building. and all that they want now is weather boards flooring door and window frames, shash shingles and nails Now General if you would be so kinds as to give them the amount of material above named, they will be able to go on and finish their School house as they have no School for Colored Children in that part of the County - You will answer as soon as convenient, I am your obt Servant Josiah H Hughs PS the house will be 30 by 36 Being acquainted with the condition of the Trustees of the Colored School at Rosevill Queen Anns County Md I recommed them to you A W Wayman Bishop of the AME Church John K Butt Agt BFR&L |
