Church Service, Charges Served, Affiliated Locations, and Other Biographical Information | Sent to public school early, but because of poor education facilities for colored youth in Maryland, his progress was somewhat slow. At 13 yo during revival in Samuel Wesley M.E. Church at Jamestown, Md he was converted. In 1890 he was inspired to preach & served as pastor in A. M. E. Charges: Darby, Ellensdale & Unionville, Pa & Lincoln City, Del. Went to Princess Anne Academy, Princess Anne, Md in 1902 but did not continue the entire year. Appointed supply in Delaware Conference - Charges: Hebron, Deals Island, Melitoto, Crumpton. Returned to home at Jamestown, Md due to poor health. |
Family and Other Information | Married 4 times: Miss Henrietta Fontaine of Jamestown, Md; Miss Carrie Maddox, of Jamestown; Mrs. Dora Johnson of Fairmount, Md & Mrs. Mabel Stanley to whom he was married April 4/26/21. He passed a year later. Survived by wife, 4 sons 2 daughters, 2 sisters, 1 brother. |
