Abstract Information about the Enslaved Person/People per transciber: transcription of document belonging to Mr. Lee Trower of rose Cottage in Eastville, Va. Document not a deed or will of emancipation, but shows several slaves taking their freedom druing time of Civile War. Some slaves, without manumission papers went to fight in Civil War; some, in the confusion, left the area while others stayed in Northampton Co & worked for people other than their owners.
