Abstract To my daughter Maria S. Joynes, the wife of Levin S. Joynes Sr., my Negro woman Susanna & my girls Betsy & Louisa & their future increase, provided that if my daughter Susan S. Fachler(?) should return to Virginia or remove to any other slave holding state & should wish to have my Negro girl Betsey, above named, that my daughter Maria S. should relinquish her right to her upon her paying to her a reasonable compensation for expense of raising her. My old Negro woman Tabby to be taken care of & supported by my daughters Maria & Susan. Should daughter Maria die without issue, my slaves to be free after death of herself & husband Levin S. Joynes, Sr. after age 25.
