| Abstract | Upon the death of both of my sisters Jane & Margaret Ewell I set free all my interest which is undivided in the slave held in common between my sisters & myself & that our Negro men George & William shall each receive $30 & the residue, after the death of my sisters, to the residue of my slaves. ... Since the making of my will, there have been several Negro Children born which were not freed in my will & to avoid all relative to them, I do hereby set free all my slaves young & old, now or which my hereafter be born... reserving to my sister Margaret Elizabeth Ewell her life estate in said slaves & at her death they are to go free. |
