| Abstract | To my son John J.R, Burtonâ¦the services and hires of my slaves Harriet & Laura until they are age 33 & Sam until he is age 21 at which time he will be set free according to the will of my father Thomas Burton. â¦.. To my son John J. R. Burton & also my slaves Ann, George, Ezekiel until they attain age 33 & also slave Susan until she attains age 21 under the will of my father... My slaves Harriet, Laura, Ann, George & Ezekiel to be free at age 33 provided that they leave the Commonwealth of Va. within one year of their freedom & if not they are to pass under the residuary clause of theis will. |
