Abstract … To daughter Sally Chandler Negro girl Leah now in her possession. …To daughter Sally Chandler & son John Bull my perosnal esatte excpet my 4 Negro men….. To my 4 Negro men Billy, Moses, Lennon & George their freedom at my death & they be paid $20 each if they will comply with the law of the county & in that case I hereby manumit & emanciate them from all manner of bondage or servitude to me or mine. ... If there is not enough personal estate to pay my debts, then my land is to be rented & not my Negroes sold or hired out for any purpose at all & be free as aforesaid.
