Abstract To wife Sarah Wise slaves Ned, Hannah, Abel, Rhoda & her choice of my Negro men… to be held by my wife during her widowhood in lieu of her thirds or dower in my other slaves & personal estate. Upon death or marriage of my wife all the slaves to my 2 sons Henry Alexander Wise & Mary Outten until my son John James arrives to lawful age. To my wife Sarah Wise the use & profits of the slaves I have given to my 4 children until they arrive at lawful age. Old Negro woman Tab to son George D. Wise & she to be maintained on the Chesconnessex lands I gave to him.
