Abstract To wife Susanna West the balance of my personal estate including all my slaves except one girl Grace. To Susanna the above named Negro girl Grace & after my wife's death to my nephews Charles & James, sons of Thomas West & Wiliam, son of my brotehr Robinson West. After my wife's death I give to my nephew Southey Simpson the above named girl Grace & after his death she is to be free. If Grace has any children they are to serve until they are age 30 & then to be free. 1828-46 w, p. 232
