Abstract of Record Whereas Richard Henry Handy, of Somerset Co., took letters of adm. dbn on estate of my father John W. Rownd, of Worcester Co., & letters of adm. on estate of Peggy Winder Rownd, his widow & remaining estate descended to me & my sister, Hetty W. Rownd, only heirs of John & Peggy, & whereas negroes Tom, Jacob, Sall, Rachael & Hannah fled & Linda died, I release said Henry from responsibility for said negroes. Signed: Charlotte H. Rownd. In presence of Robt. Lemmon, Esq., Justice of the Peace, Som. Co. Wm. Done, Clk., Som. Co. [release as above Negro Linda listed as Leanden. Signed: Hetty Winder Rownd.
