Abstract Deposition of Jacob Richards of lawful age. (see entry above). Jacob Richards states that in the year 1793 he was in the company of Mrs. Mary Perkins wife of John. Richards heard Mrs. Perkins say that John Martin has orders from her husband and that he, the said Martin, had received a Negro belonging to her husband from some person in Carolina and had not sent her husband _(the Negro?) "and that if ever John Martin came back Mr. Perkins would sue him."
