| Abstract | John Jump (of P.) to William H. Downes of Queen Anne's Co.; John M. Collison; Mary Dukes wife of James; John Stack and Joseph Pearson, all of Caroline Co. - whereas Downes, Collison & James Dukes, in his lifetime, became securities on the guardian bond of John Jump, guardian to William A. Barwick, 16 Feb 1841 in the penalty of $3000 and whereas James Dukes in his lifetime with John Stack and Joseph Pearson became securities an collateral securities upon 2 other guardian bonds of Jump, guardian to Henry and Francis Shields, 24 Dec 1839 in the penalty of $2000 and the said Jump being willing to secure them - conveys negro woman Eliza, abt 26 and negro Adeline, abt 3 - slaves for life, along with livestock and other items. |
