These records document an agreement between an apprentice and master to learn a trade, such as farming, housekeeping, blacksmithing, etc. Agreements include terms of service, payment received at the end of service, education, and the names of both master and apprentices. Abstracted from Delaware Public Archives' "Apprentice Indentures". This record only includes individuals who were listed as "mulattoes" or "negroes".
