Abstract Charles Henry Purnell, Negro 2 yo on 1 September last past, comes to court; he is not at service, learning a trade, or employed in service of his parents & is without means sufficient for his maintenance. Court binds him as apprentice to William L. Richards until 21 yo, to learn trade of a farmer. He is to receive suitable clothing & maintenance during apprenticeship & at end of term to receive $15.
