Abstract James H. Cluff, colored illegitimate child 6 yo on 1 June next, the son of Molly Cluff colored woman of indigent circumstances, is bound to John Dennis of H, until he is 21 yo on 1 Jun 1867, to learn the trade of farming. He is to be supplied with sufficient meat, drink, clothing, & lodging during his apprenticeship and at its expiration to receive 2 suits of clothing - 1 suitable for Sundays & the other for working days or $15 in money. There is a notation from his mother giving her consent.
