Abstract petition of James Bailey, Ann Maria Lawrence, Rebecca Stansbury, Louisa Bailey, Ellen Bailey, Mary Ann Bailey and Arritta Brown to Judges of Orphans Court stating the Joseph Bailey has died leaving a written paper purporting to be his will. Original paper filed in Registry of Talbot County and Marked Exhibit A. W.P.L. Shaffer on 29 August 1862 makes oath that he heard the paper and Bailey was satisfied. Joseph Bailey left $170 to be disposed as follows: all the parties mentioned to receive amounts varying between $10 and $50. The Africa Church in St. Michaels to receive $10. Henry Lawson to receive his watch; Henry Lawrence and William Bailey each to have 2/2 his clothes. After expenses, any remaining to go to Arritta Brown.
