Abstract small farm on which I now reside which I purchased from James Tilghman of Talbot during her life or widowhood. Also all my personal property. It is my desire that she looks after the five children of my daughter Mary Ann Mitchel, as I have done, make work and also see that they have a home & support until they are able to do for themselves. In event wife's death before they are raised, then I desire my executor (William Townsend) to look after my grandchildren in the same way so they do not suffer. codocil to will 1/15/1861: direct that my real estate be sold immediatly after my death by my executor & proceeds be paid to my wife except for $400 to be paid to niece Eliza Hutchinson of Baltimore, $50 to my granddaughter Jane Morre & $50 to my grandson Frisby Moore.
