| Abstract | Will of William Stewart, filed 30 May 1850. [only negroes abstracted, other items not shown here] To Benjamin W. S. Maddux, son of William S. Maddux, of Worcester Co., lands & plantation on conditions: my old negroes Joseph & Robert canremain on land & he will support them. To Mary, daughter of Zorobable Smulling, $50 to be paid by hire of my negroes. To Joseph Polk, negro men Littleton, Samuel & Aaron for four years & then free; negro boy Robert till 20, then free; negro girl Leah, 9, until 22, then free; negro boy Alfred, 4, till 25, then free. to wife, negro woman Sina (?) for two years, then free; negro girl, Louisa for 15 years, then free. Capt. Joseph Polk appointed exe. Signed 7 Sept. 1843. |
