Abstract Petition of Robert H. Marshall: he is owner of negro slave John, for a term of years, which will end 1 Nov., 1852; negro John, a slave for life to Valentine Dennis, of Worcester Co., who by his will, date 8(?) Feb., 1825, freed John when he is 28; slave is in habit of running away; asks that term be extended , & for permisssion to sell him out of state. Signed William S. Waters, attorney for petitioner. Court orders term of negro John extended to 1 Jan. 1860; gives permission to sell him out of state.
