Text The orphans court appointed Isaac M. Adams and Daniel Dakes appraisers to report on the real estate of Mary Ann Cox, orphan in the care of Molly Cox her guardian. 13 Dec 1812 appraisers report negroes Selby aged 21 years and Rachel, one lott of land whereon Molly Cox now lives containing one half acre with one wood dwelling house 25 by 12 ft addition a pyazzard on front to the main building 6 by 25 feets, one porch to the shed 7 by 8 feet with two brick chimneys to the aforesaid house, all in good repair; one kitchen 15 by 12 feet framed with wood with one brick chimney in good repair, one smoke house 12 by 9 feet with sawed logs, one dair 8 by 6 feet, one pail garden 42 yards by 30 yards in tolerable repair, one well of water in good repair, the above described lott with the improvements valued at $55 exclusive of widow's dower. One house 26 by 22 feet standing in Rehoboth near the river in tolerable repair valued at $16 exclusive of widow's dower. One lott of ground in Princes Anne standing at the foot of the brdige with one house called new apartment, 35 by 14 feet with two chimneys in good repair, one house called the oldapartment adjoining the new last mentioned 16 by 18 feet with an addition of 12 by 12 feet in tolerable repair, onelumber house 20 by 12 feet, one house standing at the corner 27 by 17 feet, the frame sound and not finished, annual value of aforesaid lott and houses $75 exclusive of widow's dower, one lott of ground standing in Princess Anne containing one half acre with a dwelling house standing thereon 24 by 18 feet, first story brick, the secon story wood ingood repair, one stable on the lott 15 feet square, the said lott enclosed with rails and pails in bad repair, annual value $40 exclusive of widow's dower.
