Message Abstract Is of the opinion that had he been a white man, his case would have been differently acted upon. Has been informed that through the bureau he would get redress. Says, "the assault may be repeated at any time".
Message Body Sir, I received your answer; My idea is that if I had of been a person of your race, and insulted by a black man; as I have been by a white man, that I would not have received an answer for to await for the second insult. here I am in this place trying to do my duty, knowing not what moment this villian may try the second attempt. I have been to Baltimore, and have been inform that the Bureau in Washington would attend to the case.
