Message Abstract | Requests in behalf of the people that her school may be continued through the month of June. States that the number of pupils is increasing, &c. Requests to have Check for this month's salary sent her at Port Deposit. |
Message Body | Enclosed please find duplicate report the April report was sent as usual. The news of the close of school on May 31st was received with deepest regret by parents, and children. The school here did not commence until Nov. Will it be assuming too much? to ask in behalf of the people who are poor and have used every effort to sustain the school creditably this session for it to continue through the month of June it will then be equivalent to the month of Oct. that they did not have. Our school is increasing and the Sabbath school feels the need of my services. We had also made arrangements to have a Childrens Fair in June the proceeds to be appropriated to settling up the school debt honorably for the year. So it is a great disappointment to many, and would be a special favor [[insert]] thankfully received [[/insert]] if it meets your approbation. Respectfully [[signature]] Mary E. Watson [[/signature]] P.S. The check for May you will please send to Port Deposit. |
