Message Body | Having not redd a letter from you recently I thought I would write you a few lines I should like to know wether you are going to do anything for the schools in Maryland the coming session or you you are well aware of the position we are place in here we are not able to support our own schools and we get a very little assistance from the county believing that you will do all you can for us to be deprived of schools at this present time would be very detrimental to us we sincerely hope by a close adhesion to the Republican party that we will in the fall of 1872 be able to elect a republican legislator and then their will be provision made for our schools we are labouring zealously to defeat the Democrat party this fall and sincerely hope we will be successful hoping that you will take our condition in regards to schools seriously into consideration Let me hear from you soon |
