Message Abstract States that Mr [[underlined]] A. F. Hill [[/underlined]] started on the 4th inst. to open school at Salem, Md. : that Miss Scott who [[strikethrough]] was [[/strikethrough]] was to take the school at Soloman's Island is sick, and their is no prospect of her being able to go under two or three weeks : That Miss [[underlined]] Sarah Adger, [[/underlined]] who is well recommended, is ready to go in her place.
Message Body Dear Sir - Your letter directing the two Teachers which I named to you has been rec'd and Mr. A. F. Hill left here on last evening (Friday - 4th) for Baltimore and thence to Salem from which place he will immediately write you. Miss Scott who was to proceed to Solomon's Island - is, I am sorry to write you - dangerously ill with the prospects of not being able to go for a period of not less than three or four weeks. If you cannot wait for her - there is another young lady - Miss Sarah Adger - who is not so well educated, but has had some experience as a Teacher South - who is willing to go in her place. She will await an answer from you -
