She was the mother of Rachel Denwood, born about 1792, who obtained a certificate of freedom in Dorchester County on 3 August 1815: of a light chesnut colour ... born free and is the daughter of Sarah Lee who was convicted for having a child by a slave, aged about 23 years. iv.
