Church Service, Charges Served, Affiliated Locations, and Other Biographical Information Attended Sunday School at Ebenezer Methodist church. Went to Baltimore when young & received most her education. When she returned home, she taught Sunday School for several years in Ebenezer. Taught public school at Taylor's Gate for 30 years. Her second spouse was Rev. Lewis H. Jones. She was recording steward of Ebenezer Church & was president of Women's Society of Christina Service until she served at Hutt's Memorial Church on Snow Hill Circuit with her husband. She & her husband worked to raise money to build modern church (Hutt's)
Family and Other Information Parents: late Ben & Emily Harmon Spouse: late George Purnell of Snow Hill md 6/15/1896 - Children: 9 born, 5 deceased before her. 2nd spouse: Rev. Lewis H. Jones of Fruitland, Md. md 6/25/1940. Survived by husband, 3 daughters, 1 son, 11 grandchldrern, 5 great-grandchildren, brother, & 4 step-children.
