Rec'd Bachelor of Arts at Morgan College, Baltimore & in October 1921 matriculated at Drew Theological Seminary, Madison, N.J. He had arrived with 8 cents in his pocket after paying train fare from Baltimore & worked attending furances whle attending school - straining his health. Member of Phi Beta Sigma fraternity & President of many organizations. Licensed as local preacher 1921; probationary membership in Delaware Conference in 1924.
Family and Other Information Parents: Romeo & Amelia Finney Spouse: Edna L. Waters from Fairmount, Md who was a teacher in Public Scools of Baltimore. Children: James Thomas & Ralph Winifred. Brothers: William Thomas & Roscoe A. Sisters: Angie L. , Priscilla B. & Cora Miles. Survived by: wife, sons James Thomas & Ralph Winifred, 2 brothers: William Thomas & Roscoe A.; 3 sisters: Angie L., Priscilla B. & Cora Miles.
