Abstract Information about the Enslaved Person/People Deed between Parker Pitts, free man of colour & Leah, a slave and wife of said Parker Pitts, William a son of said Parker, Alfred also son of Parker, Jemina a daughter of Parker & Ann Eliza also daughter of Parker. All of which children are by the said Leah the Slave & wife of said Parker Pitts. In consideration of love & affection towards Leah, William, Alfred, Jemina & Ann Eliza has manumitted & set free forever Leah on 25 Dec 1848, William, now abt 10 yrs of age as soon as he attains age of 21 yrs, Alfred now abt 8 yo as soon as he attains 21 yrs, Jemina now abt 5 yrs old as soon as she attains age of 18 yrs; and Ann Eliza now abt 4 yrs old as soon as she attains age of 18 yrs; also any issue of said Jemina & Ann Eliza as soon as such issue born & also any other child of Leah born between this & 25 day of December next - if boy attaining 21 yrs or if girl attaining 18 yrs, that such shall be free as soon as born.
