Abstract Information about the Enslaved Person/People I, Peter S.Bowdoin, have manumitted & set free negro woman I have named Sylvia otherwise called Sylvia Teackle (who was purchased by Martin Holt out of the Estates of Peter Bowdoin dec'd & taken by me off of his hands at price he gave for her. I declare her to be entirely liberated. She is of dark chestnut or brown complexion, abt 5' 3 1/2" & abt 40 years of age. Signed by Peter S. Bowdoin 19 Nov 1831.
