Abstract Information about the Enslaved Person/People I Samuel H. Matthews on account of special contract made with Viannah G. Wescot of Northampton, Va,viz: to emancipate & set free 2 negros viz: negro boy named Jacob now aged 12 yrs when he arrives to age of 25 yrs & negro girl named Peggy now aged 14 yrs when she arrives to age of 21 yrs. Afsd contract being required by Viannah G. Wescot before she would consent to marriage with Samuyl H. Matthews: in consequence of sd contract I hereby emancipate & set free Jacob at age 25 & Peggy at age 21 yrs. Signed Saml H. Matthews 26 Oct 1821.
