Abstract An Indenture made by the Overseers of the Poor and Thomas Scott to carry out an order made in the County Court dated 29 March 1821 to bind John son of Sylvia Perkins, free Negro, until the age of twenty one, unto Thomas Scott, who will provide sufficient Meat, Drink, Washing, Lodging, and Wearing Apparel, teach him the trade of a Farmer and also pay him Twelve Dollars at the expiration of the said time.
