Abstract An Indenture made between Overseers of the Poor and George Poulson to carry out an order made in County Court dated 29 October 1789 to bind Severn Scott son of Sall Scott, free Negro until the age of twenty one, unto George Poulson who will provide sufficient Meat, Drink, Washing, Lodging, and Wearing Apparel, teach him reading, writing and arithmetic, the trade of a Shalloper and also pay him Twelve Dollars at the expiration of the said time.
