Abstract An Indenture made by the Overseers of the Poor and Devin Brodwater to carry out an order made in the County Court dated 24 November 1834 to bind Jane Stockly free Negro orphan of [-----] Stockly free, until the age of twenty one, unto Devin Brodwater, who will provide sufficient Meat, Drink, Washing, Lodging, and Wearing Apparel, teach her the trade of a Spinster and also pay her Twelve Dollars at the expiration of the said time.
