Hardcastle and John Brown (of Solomon) - cons. $2000 - negro man Smauel Johnson, abt. 22, slave for life; negro woman Rebeccah, abt 32, for 8 years from date; negro girl Elizabeth, abt 12, for 28 years; negro boy Silas, abt 13 for 27 years; negro girl Patsy, abt. 10, for 30 years; negro boy Essex, abt 5, for 35 years; negro boy Thomas, abt. 3, for 37 years; negro boy Peter, abt. 18 for 22 years from date. NB: Samuel Johnson has absconded and if he returns in a reasonable time so that E. B. Hardcastle and J. Brown incur no expense as a reward, he shall be free at the expiration of 20 years.
