Abstract Levi Dukes to James Dukes - cons. $1298- all of the negro slaves I purchased out of the estate of Jeremiah Rhodes, dec'd: Mary, 21 and her child Caroline, 4; son John, 2 and daughter Augusta, 7 mos - all of litish complextion and slaves for life. One other negro slave named Henny, 20 and her child Charlotte, 2 - dark complexion and slave for life. One other negro slave named Charles, 15, of light complexion, a slave for life - Dinah, 40, her child Zebdiel, 7, of dark complexion, her female child Mariah, 2 of litish complexion, slaves for life - Hannah, 21, and her children, Aron, 3, and Charles, 2, all of dark complexion, slaves for life; William, 11, dark complexion; Stephen, 12, dark complexion and Joseph, 19, dark complexion, all slaves for life.
