"I certify that about 24 Dec. 1822 I removed from Kent Co., Delaware to Caroline Co., Md., a negro man named Sam, aged abt. 64; a negro woman named Nelly, abt. 22, which I purchased of my father John Willis of Sussex Co., Deaware; and 1 negro boy, abt. 9 mos. old, son of Nelly and born since the purchase; and also negro girl Eliza, abt 2, purchased of Jonathon Emory of Kent Co. - and request them to be registered."
