Abstract Whereas Abraham Jump, late of Caroline Co., dec'd bequeathed to Ann Maria his wife, negro woman Caroline, to serve 14 years from 1 Jan 1851 and negro boy Isaac, to serve 26 years from ditto - and whereas Ann Maria departed this life intestate and Walter Massey, adm., was authorized by the Orphan's Court of Caroline Co. to sell the term of service of the negroes, on or abt 1 Jan 1852 did sell to Samuel Goolt (a bona fide resident of the State for 1 year or more) for the sum of $405, all the right of Ann Maria Jump to the negroes Caroline and Isaac.
