Fountain and William Roe, his sureties to Farmer's Bank of Maryland at Easton on a note for $600 dated 3 July and drawn at 6 mos. - and another note of $260 - several promissory notes & bills obligatory amounting to sums of money and named tracts of land; also negro woman Harriett, abt 22, to be freed on 1 jan 1851; negro man Richard, abt 21, ditto 1855; negro woman Emeline, abt 19 ditto 1855; negro boy Emory, son of Harriett, abt 5, to be freed at age 30; negro girl Louiza, daughter of Harriett, abt 3, to be freed at age 26 (ref to deed of manumission dated 15 Jan 1829). |
