Abstract Sarah E. Slaughter made oath of her bona fide intention to become a citizen of the State of Maryland, bef. Alexander Ridgaway. "On 9 Jan 1847 I removed from Kent Co., Delaware to Caroline Co., Md., one negro boy named Jim, aged 17 and negro boy Charles, aged 14." On 1 Feb 1847 Sarah made oath that she hath not removed the slaves into this State for sale.
