Abstract Andrew Callahan, admr. of Geo. Callahan of Caroline Co., dec'd under order of Caroline Co. Orphan's Court, 15 Nov 1836 on 16 Feb 1837 sold negro boys Stephen and Samuel to John L. McCombs for $189 each (ref. to Geo. Callahan's will of 2 Apr 1831 in which he set free his servant Samuel, born 24 Oct 1818 to be free at age 28, on 24 Oct 1846; and his servant Stephen, born 10 Sept 1829, at age 28, on 10 Sept 1857) for their terms of servitude.
