"On 27 May 1832 I removed from Kent Co, Delaware to Caroline Co. with intention of residing there and brought negro girl Leah Rose, abt. 9, 1 Sept. last, to serve until she is 21; which I became possessed of by my intermarriage with Jane Lewis, and request her to be registered.
